What motivates Steve?
"In 1983, shortly after I had graduated from college, I applied for and was hired as a bookkeeper for Mellon & Johnson. That same year I married my best friend Cindi. Both Cindi and I grew up in Upland and raised our two children there, Jimmy now 27 and Carina 23. Our family has always had a strong sense of community and have tried to give back to our friends and neighbors through our involvement in volunteer groups. From coaching Little League, working in the PTA, being a board member of the Price Foundation and a member of the board of trustees at San Antonio Hospital. After passing the CPA exam in 1985, became a partner in 1990 and was elected as the firm’s managing partner in 1996. Over the last 16 years in that position, I am proud to witness the firm grow and prosper along with our dedicated staff and clients."
Steve joined Mellon Johnson Reardon in 1983 and was admitted as a partner in 1990. He serves the firm in both the auditing and tax practice. Steve works extensively with construction and distribution clients. In addition, he prepares individual, corporate and partnership income tax returns. Steve has served as managing partner of the firm since 1996.
